FLESH WITHOUT BREATH: WHY ACTIVITY IS NOT ALWAYS LIFE

Scripture

“And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.”

The Real Christian Problem

Many believers, churches, and ministries mistake busy activity and impressive appearance for spiritual life, not realizing they can be fully formed and still have no breath in them.

Reflection

Ezekiel watched the bones become a body, sinews, flesh, skin, everything in place, and yet Scripture says plainly, "there was no breath in them." A completed structure is not the same as a living one. You can do everything right on the outside and still be spiritually dry inside. This is a needed check for all of us. Are you working hard, showing up, keeping form, but privately dry? Do not settle for looking alive. Ask God for the breath, not just the form.

New Creation Reality

I do not settle for form without life. I pursue the breath of the Spirit, not just the appearance of spirituality.

Practical Application

• Honestly ask yourself today: am I active, or am I alive? Repent of any place where you have performed faith without possessing it.
• Ask the Holy Spirit for fresh breath in your private walk with God, not just your public activity.
• Reduce one unnecessary activity this week to make room for quiet time with God.
• Share this truth with someone in ministry or leadership who may need it too.
